  • Snowline tent- MYOG

Finally done! This has been a couple years in the making. Based off of a Timberline 6. Made with 1.1 oz silnylon on the fly, 6 ounce canvas inner tent. 0.75 Easton aluminum poles. Comes out to just over 20 pounds. Can't wait to get it out this winter!

Amazing! How many winter bodies fit inside?

That's beautiful! I love the dual wall, that will trap in some heat.

Looks great! I was given a Timberline 6 frame years ago and had vague notions of making a tent like this, but I already have several tents and don't really need another one. Personally I might have just converted a Timberline, as I am using a converted Eureka Alpine Meadows now and am happy with how the nylon tent performs. What stove are you using in it?

Thanks for the compliments! I'm using a Knico Trekker. Seems to be a good fit.

Awesome setup! Like Heavy Duty said hopefully that will trap some heat and also that fly is crazy lighter and packs much smaller than canvas.

Man, that’s well done! Those Timberlines are bomber tents, and your integration of it in your designs is fantastic. That’s something to be proud of, for sure. Enjoy it!

This tent looks good, especially since it can hold many people, suitable for team camping, so you don't have to take many single tents. Usually, when my wife and I go camping, we take our screen tent to admire the sunset and sunrise. Of course, there isn't much opportunity to take such a tent in the winter, but we also rarely go camping at this time of year. In winter, my wife is much busier at work and needs to keep an eye on the kids. And I devote more time to our garden so that nothing is badly damaged there. Either way, this is a very comfortable tent.
